The Weight of it All
We all carry things that were never meant to be permanent.
Some of it came from love.
Some of it came from survival.
Some of it came from silence.
The Weight of It All is the flagship collection of Words of a Feather. Not because it was finished last—
but because it revealed the beginning.
This collection is built around idioms— the phrases we grow up inside of. The ones we repeat without realizing how much they’re holding. The ones that sound harmless—until we feel their weight.
Here, idioms are not defined once and set aside. They are returned to.
The same phrase may appear across different chapters, not to repeat its meaning, but to let it change.
What an idiom carries in one place
may press differently in another. What felt like strength in one color
may reveal grief, effort, or endurance in the next.
Color is what allows that shift.
Color is worn here as vibration — something the body feels inwardly and the world encounters outwardly, before language ever arrives.
In The Weight of It All, color is not decorative. It is structural.
Each color marks a different place where weight settles. Each chapter offers a new way of meeting the same language— not to explain it away, but to let it speak from a different part of the body.
Those places are mapped through the chakra system— not as belief, but as anatomy of experience. Each chapter corresponds to a different energetic center where weight is commonly held: survival, boundary, identity, love, expression, perception, and release.
You are not meant to move through this in order. You are not meant to understand it all at once.
The sequence matters, but the entry point does not. Some people arrive through the body. Some through language. Some through memory. The system holds either approach.
Begin with the color that feels familiar.
Or the one you avoid.
Or the one you can’t quite explain.
This is not about becoming lighter. It’s about noticing what has been heavy— and realizing you were never carrying it alone.

Color as vibration gives each chapter its tone. Chakra alignment gives it its place.
