Thank you for visiting.

This all started one year ago, with one word, clarity. Clarity of thought and communication. Too often we find ourself having to say "that's not what I meant." Unfortunately many times it's too late. Even worse you may never get the chance to explain. Words can hurt, damage trust, hope, love, respect, dreams, understandings. Progress that may have taken years can crumble without a pause for clarity, to choose the right words. Merrian-Webster defines clarity as; the quality of being clear. I don't recall why or what brought clarity, the word, to my mind but I knew then that there was more importance than the standard definition gave. After some thought I made my own definition of clarity. Also some other relative thoughts came out;

Clarity (n.) - when words and intentions align.

  • Clarity isn’t noise—it’s the
    quiet that follows truth.
  • I don’t need answers. I need
    alignment.
  • When I see clearly, I move
    honestly.

From there with one word and no name it quickly turned from an idea to sell "another word definition t-shirt," to a vision that was becoming a passion. I began grouping words into "collections." Defining them in the same way as I had clarity. Then the brand name, Words of a Feather Expressions, was created, it just fit. Then I realized something amazing. I had quietly been on a healing path. These words and collections had came from within, expressions I gave to words, the collections I had titled and filled. I was doing quiet work I didn't know I needed or had admitted aloud. The words I defined, the collections I created let me walk softly down the path to becoming my-self, they gave me a different way of reclaiming my power. That's when my vision became my mission. Could I make a site that welcomed others similar to me, gently, softly, not loud and pushing products but a sanctuary type of space? I had to try my best, there are too many "help sites" that offer help for dollars. I hope to offer something new, and if a product resonates with a visitor they can wear it across their chest, maybe a step to inner clarity by quietly saying it first to the world. There is so much more to do.
